Another Llewellyn...probably the great-grandson of the first Morris, of Haverford... rose to local fame. A family history, published in 1935, states:
"At the close of the administration of President John Adams [1796-1801], a liberty pole was raised at a small village about ten miles north of Philadelphia, then known as Merion Square. A flag was suspended from it bearing the inscription: ‘Down with all tyrants. No gag laws. Liberty or death.’ Among the protestants were Captain John Young, Samuel Young and Morris Llewellyn, all from the original Morris family. Word reached the city that the citizens of Lower Merion had planted on their soil the emblem of Liberty and Equality, a squad of troops was sent out to enforce the Sedition Act. Morris Llewellyn was arrested, taken to the city and put in prison. A great crowd attended his trial and promised to attempt his rescue, should he be convicted. But the jury declared him not guilty."
Morris ap Llewelyn of Pembrokeshire, when he came to America, took his father's name and passed it on to later generations. Had he remained in Wales, on the other hand, his children would have had his first name astheir second name, and would not have passed it on to later generations.
Morris Llewellyn purchased 500 acres in Haverford, Jan. 1681. See Penna. Archives, Third Series, Vol. I. p. 11.
ANN YOUNG 1 was born about 1650 in Morvill Parish, Pembrokeshire, Wales. She died in Haverford, Montgomery Co., PA. She married MORRIS LLEWELLYN on 13 Feb 1663 in Castlebigh or Castlebeith, Pembrokeshite, Wales.

Age for John is off by several years but family members confirms this is John Wedge who also began using the alternate surname spelling. He is indexed as 42 years of age but upon close inspection of the image it reads 47.
Also, son Edward is found in the 1900 census for California which would seem to confirm John's place of death prior to 1900 and that he had gone there with his son. Wife, Mary, is found in California with Edward in 1900 and in Washington State with son, Arthur in 1910.

ANDREAS MUELLER [Parents] 1 was born in 1717 in Germany. He died in 1754 in PA. He married MARGARET FUNK on 5 Nov 1738 in Mt Zion, Lebonon, Pa.
NOTES: [Gedcom Database of LaDeane Miller - 2007]
Came with parents to PA on ship JOYCE on 30 Nov 1730 from Rotterdam.
Pioneer in Lancaster Co. warrant 1743.
Served in Capt. Matthew Dill's Co. Col. B Chambers Regiment.
Andrew Miller had one of the original land patents from which the town of Annville, Lebanon Co., PA was formed.
He was a miller & built a mill at the west end of town on the Quitapahilla Creek. Andrew died in 1754 and his eldest son, Abraham, I believe platted out the town. Abraham moved to Allen Twp, Cumberland Co., PA about 1767 and purchased a mill on the Yellow Breeches Creek.
Andrew's second son, Jacob, may have stayed in Annville (then known as Millerstown) and operated the mill.
Andrew's only daughter, Christina, married a Jacob Miller. She had died before 1762 and nothing is known of her offspring (or if there were any).
Andrew's youngest, Andrew, may also have stayed near where the City of Lebanon is today for a while. He then may have moved to the Paxtang area of Dauphin Co., PA.
MARGARET FUNK 1 was born in 1718. She married ANDREAS MUELLER on 5 Nov 1738 in Mt Zion, Lebonon, Pa.
They had the following children:
M i ABRAHAM MILLER was born in 1739. He died on 26 Oct 1805.
