BIOGRAPHY:
LaDeane W. Miller was born in Kinderhook, Michigan, May 15, 1933. He served in the Navy and was on the Task Force summoned to the Dardanelle's Strait in 1954 to subdue the Russian attempt to close the Strait. On Shore Patrol he was involved in hand-to-hand combat with dissidents in Istanbul, Turkey. He was also the 2nd Vice Commander and is a life member of the Amvets Hewitt-Madigan Post 126, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
In 1970 he relocated to Denver, Colorado and became a union carpenter. He married Betty Lou Cardenas on November 18, 1972; they had one son, Brandon Elliot Miller. Betty also had two sons prior to their marriage, Ronald Lee Cardenas and Matthew Cardenas. Betty passed away December 13, 1994 and is buried at Ft Logon National Cemetery. Miller now has three grandchildren.
Betty's death and their children's question "who are we " inspired him to pursue genealogy. He has served as a genealogy instructor and as a volunteer at an LDS Family History Center in Aurora Colorado. He isstill researching for his books, “Select Families of New Mexico” that is found in many libraries in the United States, as well as researching, compiling and printing “Paha Sapa.-.the Early Years”, a book about Native Americans and the discovery of the Black Hills and Ervik de Espana “The First Spaniard”

From the image, the daughter's name clearly appears to be Flora. Since the census was taken in October of 1850 and Martha Wedge was born in September of 1850 (some have 1849), it would seem that this is her unless a daughter Flora was born and died shortly after this census was taken.
Daniel is also found in the same census on page 146 in the household of his father, Ira Wedge, where he is recorded as a laborer. Both censuses were taken on the same day.

The question of Martha Wedge's mother is revealed “mom and dad were separated in 1850 after I was born in Attica”. Cannot read rest of pg. Next pg: “dad (Daniel) wanted to go to Michigan but not mom. My mother finally gave in and left in 1851 with Wally and me.
Removed again to Branch Co., Michigan in 1857 with father, brothers Joel & John. John went to Hillsdale Co. Michigan. Joel to Indiana 1858 to 1869 then Illinois for a year before returning to Michigan in 1872 where he died.
His daughter Ida Elizabeth was born while visiting his father & brother in Harveysburg, Ohio. Family history notes from Martha Wedge, Truman, Cyrus' son, was born in Michigan. The only child born there. The rest were born in Conn. Is this his brother or cousin?

In 1823, a second born son named Johhnyn Webster. To him and wife (Ennyd Maayh), a first born son named Llewellyn Webster born 1887. Also to him and wife, Verna Belle Unroe, a first born daughter named Llewellynah Edythe in 1912 (Llewellyn Webster - Luell Webster; Llewellynah Edythe - Lee Luella).
The following was by talks and letters, scraps of informaiton on paper and family bibles (bible dated 1800-1900), Grandpa Paul, Grandma Miller, Aunt Jessie, Dad (Luell Webster) and Uncle Carl Unroe. Ezra Purdy and Luell Miller were only friends and no relation. Purdy was a farm auctioneer.
Descendants of original Welsh clans were closely knit through the following years.
Grandpa Paul, from the original Ppowhl (Paul) married in 1905 Edythe Lylah Belle Cross Unroe (after George Unroe was killed in 1903 working for the Ohio railroad as a brakeman in Columbus, Ohio).
