on line 10 is JOHN A. MERRIFIELD, son of Alexander Merrifield, grandson
of Samuel Merrifield I.
John A. Merrifield was the first Merrifield to actually settle in Texas.
With him are 2nd wife, Elizabeth, son Samuel (of first wife Sarah Welsh),
twins Joseph and Catherine,
son Benjamin and granddaughter, Amanda, child of John's daughter, Susan
Amanda (who died in 1855).
