John
Welsh Merrifield is the son of John A. Merrifield
and his first wife, Sarah Welsh, grandson
of Alexander and great-grandson of Samuel
Merrifield I.
John
and his wife, Lauretta Horne Merrifield,
are buried in Wheatland Cemetery in Dallas,
Texas. Great-granddaughter, Mary Belle Merrifield
Brackenridge, believes that Lauretta is
the correct name though it is Laura on the
headstone.
