Ennis E. Malson, 68, of Indianapolis, formerly of Bartholomew Co., died at 9:06 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove: A World War II veteran, Malson was a former employee of Reeves Pulley Company and had worked as a machinist for the city of Indianapolis for 17 years.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday by Myers Funeral Service at their Reed and Jewell Chapel, with the Rev. Wayne Bozell officiating. Calling will be , from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Military graveside service by Columbus American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
He was born May 4, 1919, in Columbus, the son of Forrest A. and Cecil Strode Malson. He married Lillian Tungate in 1942. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Larry Malson of Indianapolis; a daughter, Janet Young of Greenwood; three grandchildren; brothers, Don Malson of Fort Wayne, Charles Malson ,of Indianapolis and Ed Malson of Denver,Colo.; and a sister, Dorothy Smith of Columbus. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Malson.

Born March 9, 1926, at Bradfordsville, Ky., Mrs. Malson was the daughter of Killies and Maggie Wilson Tungate. She married Ennis E. Malson in 1942. He died May 2, 1988. Surviving are a son, Larry Malson of Indianapolis; a daughter, Janet Young of Greenwood; and three grandchildren.
