The following is from an email I received 26 Apr 2005:
"My husband, Gerald, is the son of Delores Eileen (Selman) Hardesty (daughter of Ida Mae(Malson) Selman. Mom has told us little about her family and since Imogene recently passed away, Jerrys' siblings have become curious as to this part of their heritage.
I have placed part of your PAF file on our Hardesty family website so the others could read about this part of their family.
Jerry is one of Eileen and James Hardestys' twelve children. Aunt Imy (Imogene) passed away this past winter and leaves no children. Her husband Wilford Moss preceded her in death a few years ago. I will have to get more specifics and write back too you if you wish. Esther passed in afew years ago in Florida and was proceded in death by her husband Amel Hosey.
At this time only Cecil and Mom remain as living children of William and Ida Mae Selman."
The following is from an email received 27 Apr 2005:
As for the location of Ida Mae in 1930, Eileen was born in 1929 so I would assume that she wasn't far from family.
Just as some background info for you.....Ida Mae spent her final years in an institution of the insane. Eileen and the younger children were in foster care before Esther was of age to get them all and raise them as a family. William disappeared from their lives when mom was young and she is very bitter about him and won't talk about her folks. Jerry thought his Grandmother died when he was young and we found out that she died two years before we had our daughter Kristen in 1983. Mom and Dad moved to Florida to live near Aunt Esther in her final years.
I have family looking up her date of death but I believe it was about five years ago. Aunt Imy moved to Georgia to be with Mom and Dad, after Uncle Wilford Moss passed away and she died just this past February. I enclosed a copy of her obit for you. And a picture of The Selman siblings taken in 1981.....Pictured are: Imogene, Cecile, Margaret, Esther, Eileen, Harold, Charles Raymond at back. The photo was taken in the back yard at Mogadore Rd. the day of Grandma's funeral."

CONFLICT: [LeAnn McRoberts, Jan 2005]
Daughter, Ester, is recorded as age 14 which seems odd since Ida is recorded as 25 and was in fact 25 years old in 1920 making her only 11 years old when Ester was born. Highly unlikely. If she was William's child from a previous marriage, he would've been 17 years old when Ester was born unless this was the census taker's error and Ester was really 4 years old.
