WorldConnect Database of the Smith-King Family Tree has spouse as Meda A. Bastin, married about 1890.
The 1900 census records Valentine's wife's name as "Mary A" and that they had been married 4 years placing the year of their marriage at 1896. I do not know if Meda/Mary died or if they divorced but Priscilla is obviously his second wife and son, Paul, is 14 in 1920 which places his year of birth about 1905/1906.F iv MARY LUCINDA JAMISON 1, 2 was born on 1 Oct 1876 in IN. I have found 1910 and 1920 censuses for Elmer Shetterly. In 1910 his wife's name is Anna. In 1920, he is a widower so a logical assumption is that he married Mary Lucinda after the 1920 census. However, I could not find any censuses for a Frank Colliers whose wife's name was Mary.
