1860 Census for Perry Township, Monroe Co., Ohio

On line 6 is George Malson though his surname is misspelled "Maulson". He is 64 years old
and married to Rachel, age 40. This census is the first confirmation I have found that she existed.

In this same census are sons Levi and Andrew with the same misspelling of the surname.

There are databases that have George married to Elizabeth Haines after Elizabeth Courtney.
I now know this to be incorrect.

There is another George Malson (possibly a relative) age 38, in the 1860 census for Benton
Township, Monroe Co., Ohio whose wife is Elizabeth. I believe that this George Malson has
become confused with my 3rd great-grandfather, and a second wife, Elizabeth, attributed
to him and I have updated the databases to reflect this.
