This letter was written by Clark while in France in 1919 as he served in the Army following WWI.
The letter is to Aunt May Malson, wife of his uncle, William Alvia Malson, son of Clark's
grandmother, Elizabeth H. Merrifield Malson.

These letters were kept by May and handed down to her son, John Rodgers Malson,
whose wife, Harriet Jane, passed on a copy to me that looks to have had a bite taken out of it.
